The mission of the New Development & Transformation Business Division is to innovate and develop technologies, products and digital solutions in the new areas in which Axens wishes to grow, in connection with the energy and ecological transition.


Within this Business Division, the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions Department is responsible for identifying challenges related to the ecological transition, medium/long-term market trends as well as future areas of activity for Axens in order to elaborate the company's strategy, including the Climate Strategy and to carry out the appropriate M&A actions.


CONTEXT & MISSION
The Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions Department is looking for a Strategic & Market Studies Engineer.


As a Strategic & Market Studies Engineer, you will be part to the Strategy team within the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions department based in Rueil-Malmaison.

Your mission is to analyze the markets, Axens' competitors and the regulations in order to contribute to the objectives of the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions department, which are:


  • To inform the company on the major issues of the future
  • To anticipate the evolution of its markets and customers
  • To help define its future positioning and diversification axes
  • Contribute to the company's efforts to consolidate and strengthen its market share
Based in Rueil-Malmaison, your position as Strategic & Market Studies Engineer will involve only occasional travel

In line with the objectives of the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisition department, your main activities as a Strategic & Market Studies Engineer are to:

  • Carry out studies to identify / detect the major issues (medium/long term) impacting the company's customers and markets in order to anticipate their evolution and the emergence of new ones
  • Participate in actions hosted in the ASAP program
  • Analyze the evolution of the company's markets as well as the performance and strategy of its competitors: conduct market studies and prospective studies
  • Contribute to actions upstream of M&A operations (market research, assistance in identifying targets, etc.)
  • Participate in the analysis of regulations that have a significant impact on Axens' markets
  • Distribute "market" information to operational units
  • Participate in the updating process of the SuperProud database.

KNOWLEDGE AND LEVEL REQUIRED
You have at least 5 years of experience in engineering and ideally a degree in management. You have acquired a good knowledge of Axens' markets and of the issues related to the ecological/energy transition.

You are familiar with the main decision-making tools such as market analysis, regulatory analysis and company analysis.

You have developed writing and presentation skills, in both English and French, necessary to support your thoughts and conclusions.
