- Develop, implement and maintain the Operational Controls framework
- Validate the effectiveness of Operational Controls
- Support various functions in the design and implementation of their Operational Controls
- Define KPIs, perform data analysis and support visibility of Operational Controls
- Ensure control effectiveness and compliance with regulations and internal policies
- Carry out risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize operational risk exposure (FMEA) of internal activities (premiums, claims)
- Lead the design, maintenance and documentation of internal control processes in collaboration with the Operational Excellence team to mitigate operational risks and ensure operational efficiency.
- Inventory all existing controls and identify areas for improvement (standardization, centralization opportunities, optimization and automation) to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the various functions in the design and implementation of controls to mitigate existing or new risks (e.g. new process, new product, organizational change...)
- Define performance risk metrics and work with the Data Analytics team to create tools and dashboards for data reporting and analysis to improve visibility of controls and operational processes
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and best practices to ensure that the company's operational controls remain compliant and effective. Your Profile
- Proven experience in Operational Controls, Risk Management or Compliance in the insurance or services sector.
- Experience in the development and implementation of operational controls and process improvement initiatives (based on failure modes, effects and criticality analysis - FMEA).
- 4/5 years' higher education in engineering, risk management or a related field
- Certification in risk management or compliance (e.g. CRM (Certified Risk Manager), ARM 54/55 (Associate in Risk Management), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) is a plus.
- Fluency in French and English
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and mitigate operational risks
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to promote operational excellence
- Orientation towards control documentation
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and drive positive change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to coordinate resources to achieve objectives and manage stakeholders at all levels
