Director of Professional Services - Remote - France


The Director of Professional Services will serve as a member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director for one of Aspire Software's operating companies.

This leader will support the overall business strategy by creating and running a world-class profitable professional services organization.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the methods and procedures to successfully deliver products and services to our customers, recruit and maintain an engaged and effective team, and deliver on the expected financial targets.

You will be instrumental in developing and implementing tools and metrics to proactively monitor performance, including utilization metrics, forecasts and profit margins.

This role will be integral to the change management process, ensuring the adoption of new processes and tools through effective collaboration, communication, and performance measures.

What your day will look like:

  • Work with your professional services team to ensure customers are being successfully onboarded, meeting their expectations on time, quality and budget
  • Constantly looking for options to improve the knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness of the team and improve the use of processes and tools in relation to professional services and customer onboarding
  • Work with finance and your professional services team to ensure the effective use and adoption of solution(s) for KPI tracking, including resource planning and utilization, time tracking, capacity planning, invoicing, revenue forecasting and backlog reporting
  • Regular monitoring and measuring of the priorities, providing coaching and guidance to team members as required
  • Provide regular updates on customer projects' health
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer situations that require attention, as related to the delivery of professional services
  • Define and develop key analysis and generate insights and recommendations to address strategic and operational issues
  • Collaborate and execute business initiatives with Senior Executives, department leaders and key stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations on action to be taken based on strategic objectives, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Analyze complex data to create and drive business objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor and resource to the leadership team
  • Recruit, manage and coach a diverse team of talented Professional Services project managers, team leaders and individual contributors

About you:


  • A natural ability to lead while maintaining the performance and financial health of a business
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role, managing a successful professional services organization
  • Verse in professional services and project management best practices
  • Strong financial acumen from the perspective of properly implementing and managing the KPIs of a Professional Services business
  • Advanced proficiency in PSA tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical or business discipline.
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Fluent in French and at least a professional level of English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Financial acumen broadly across the organization (e.g., managing a P&L, understanding of financial documents, business intelligence, FP&A processes, etc.)
  • Ability to structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals
  • Excellent Leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • A "roll up the sleeves" attitude towards problemsolving
  • Goaloriented with comfort in setting measurable goals for others and him/herself
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a team
  • Ability and willingness to create change; passion for continuous improvement
  • Legally authorized to work in France
