Role Overview


We are looking for:


  • The development of Liion technologies and subsequent recycling efforts have highlighted the dramatic effects of impurities on the cycling properties of the complete system. The nature of the detrimental impurities has been investigated for established chemistries but it is more elusive for emerging chemistries, such as Naion. The project of this master internship is then to investigate the effect of a set of metallic impurities on the interfacial properties and subsequent cycling behaviour with Solvay materials used in Na-Ion technologies.

We count on you for:


  • Electrode manufacturing and coin cell assembly.
  • Electrolyte formulation
  • Electrochemical characterization: ionic/electronic conductivity by EIS, electrochemical stability, impedance reconstruction.
  • Structural analysis analysis (XRD, SEM, granulometry, BET, NMR, elemental analysis)
