Ankhmaa Ankhbayar

I am a postgraduate of International Political Economy at King’s College London, with a hard-working, sociable and determined attitude, always going the extra mile to achieve success in everything I do.

My last job was at “Best Western Tech LLC”, a company specialised in import and supply of  products for the needs of domestic industries and businesses. As an Assistant Manager, I was in charge of monitoring communications with our international partners, translating documents and emails into English, Russian and Mongolian languages, monitoring government websites for tender releases, receiving and meeting our foreign partners and guests,  making researches on goods and merchants and assisting our colleagues. This experience helped me to develop my social and organisational skills and my ability to handle pressure at work.

At the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I got the chance to do an internship. My responsibilities include delivering reports in response to international relations events, conducting various researches for the team and translating documents and articles for the Ministry. Prior to that, I gained greater social skills while working as a programme representative at my university. I was able to become a member of my community through my position because I represented other students' interests at frequent meetings with faculty and staff. In addition, I collaborated with other delegates to bring about significant adjustments in our school, such as increased library hours and comments on assignments in favour of students. 

I have studied Master’s in International Political Economy at King’s College London, which provided me with in-depth understanding of the political and economic forces that are transforming the global economy. During my bachelor years of Politics at City, University of London, I familiarised myself with international relations, politics, diplomacy, statistics and economics. I completed a number of modules that improved my analytical, critical thinking, and academic writing abilities. I firmly believe that studying politics was a major investment for me as it is a very broad, ever-evolving field that encompasses not just government and diplomacy but also economics, business operations, power, human rights, and finance.

Beyond my academic work at the university, I undertook Harvard Business School’s Financial Accounting course which introduced me to the main concepts of accounting and finance. Thanks to the course they provided, I familiarised myself with so many important aspects of finance such as accounting equation, recording transactions, adjusting journal entries, statement of cash flows, analysing financial statements and forecasting. It was a great experience as the case studies were based on real companies, businesses and transnational corporations. The course had an overall positive impact on my consistency, flexibility, multi-tasking and time management skills.
