Elodie Dechene

I am currently interning at AB InBev as a Data Privacy Legal Intern, where I support projects within the Legal and Compliance Team, including work on antitrust policy. I will be graduating with a Master's degree in International Law in September 2024. My interests include contract law, competition law, corporate law, and data privacy.

From ages 16 to 23, I worked in various fields unrelated to my studies, which helped me develop essential soft skills like attention to detail, organization, and motivation. Later, during my nearly six-month internship as a Data Privacy Legal Intern, I honed my expertise in data privacy and artificial intelligence by applying GDPR regulations (DPIAs) and creating an AI gap assessment for company projects in line with the European Union AI Act. Additionally, I had the opportunity to join my company's legal and compliance team, where I assisted in drafting documents and creating presentations on antitrust law, competition law, anti-corruption, and bribery, using Microsoft tools.

The most fulfilling aspect of my educational background is my master's degree in International Law from the University of Nantes (France). During this program, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in several areas of the European Union that I am truly passionate about, including competition law, fundamental rights, the law of the sea, the EU internal market, and commercial law.
