Ghida beydoun

I am an accomplished professional with a strong educational background and diverse experience in sustainability, social innovation, and bioinformatics. I am currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation at HEC Paris, where I have achieved a GPA of 3.79/4.0 and excelled in courses such as Data Science for Sustainable Business and Sustainable Corporate Finance. My passion for sustainable practices and their implementation in the business world led me to be a recipient of the HEC CMA-CGM Scholarship, where I am currently working as a Student Sustainability Consultant.

In the past, I have worked as an Education Consultant for Education Basket, where I advised students in their academic journey and recruited students to prospective 268 partner universities. I also co-founded VolunteerBeirut, where I mobilized volunteers proactively post the Beirut explosion, and directed a team of 50 virtual volunteers from 12 different countries. My diverse range of skills includes conducting market intelligence research, designing surveys, and analyzing biomolecular interactions.

My educational and professional experiences have allowed me to develop excellent leadership skills, as evidenced by my role as the Founder and President of the Bioinformatics Club at Lebanese American University and Founding Member and Organizer of the BUDDY Program. My linguistic abilities, including fluency in English and Arabic, as well as intermediate proficiency in French, allow me to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Furthermore, my passion for powerlifting and visual art speaks to my interest in diverse fields beyond my academic and professional achievements, and I believe this well-rounded approach enables me to approach challenges from different angles, bringing creativity and innovation to my work. I am excited to continue exploring new opportunities to apply my skills and passion towards making a positive impact in the world.

I've had the privilege of working in various industries, from education to social enterprise to sustainability. As an Education Consultant for Education Basket, I assisted students in their academic journey and helped them gain admission to prospective partner universities. I also had the opportunity to work with international universities and prepare presentations for prospective university partners. In addition, I founded and directed VolunteerBeirut, where I mobilized volunteers after the Beirut explosion and led a team of 50 virtual volunteers from 12 different countries. Through this experience, I developed my leadership and partnership-building skills while contributing to the greater good of my community.

My work as an Intern for EVENTA allowed me to gain valuable market intelligence research skills and conduct surveys, and I even designed and implemented a virtual fundraiser. At the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, I conducted protein modeling and analyzed biomolecular interactions, sharpening my analytical and technical skills.

Currently, as a Student Sustainability Consultant for CMA-CGM, I am playing a key role in implementing a 'Just Transition' for terminals, conducting feasibility studies on recycling and upcycling of containers, and mapping CSR criteria for green field projects. This experience has provided me with the opportunity to apply my skills in data science, sustainable corporate finance, and sustainability while making a positive impact on the environment. My diverse range of work experiences has helped me develop a unique set of skills and interests in areas like sustainability, bioinformatics, and visual art, and I am excited to continue exploring new challenges and opportunities.

My most relevant training has been my MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation at HEC Paris. This program has given me a comprehensive understanding of sustainability, including its environmental, social, and economic aspects. Through courses like Data Science for Sustainable Business and Sustainable Corporate Finance, I gained technical skills and knowledge that I can apply to real-world sustainability challenges. Additionally, as a SASI class representative and recipient of the HEC CMA-CGM Scholarship, I have had the opportunity to connect with other like-minded students and learn from sustainability experts. This training has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to sustainable development and drive positive change
