Helga Guðrún Önnudóttir Hrannarsdóttir

My name is Helga and I am from Kópavogur, Iceland, but I moved to Paris in October 2021 to study at ESMOD ISEM, a school focusing on Fashion Business. The name of my course is “Head of Marketing and Communications Strategy in the Fashion Industry”, and covers many facets of the fashion industry, including marketing, communication, artistic direction, accounting and more. A part of the school is doing internships during the summer, offering us, the students, the opportunities to advance our careers within the industry. Last year, I did my internship in a small Parisian vintage store called Chez Snowbunny. This internship was a great experience to develop my communication and sales skills, as well as allowing me an opportunity to work independently and grow more responsible, as I worked alone in the store.

I have lived in three countries in my life, Iceland, Denmark and France, so I speak four languages, Icelandic, English, Danish and a little bit of French. I have been very lucky in my life and have been able to live in and travel to multiple countries. Living in different countries has made me a very open and communicative person, along with giving me a wide view of the world, and living within different cultural sceneries.

I am searching for an internship within the PR, Marketing, Artistic Direction or Journalism sectors of the fashion industry during the summer of 2023, which is where I would like to explore furthering my career. I am available for an internship from the 15th of May, til the end of September, and I am available for an interview at any time.
