À propos de Juliette Rollin:

Hi, my name is Juliette and I am a French woman from the North East of France.

Passionate about the wine world, I am looking for a position with
responsibilities in wine tourism/development of wine tourism and wine marketing.
My adaptability, my ability and desire to learn, empathy and enthusiasm make me an ideal candidate for a variety of assignments. I would like to work abroad to discover new ways of thinking and working. So, mobile abroad, and fluent in English, I'm ready to take on new challenges and evolve in a stimulating professional environment.

In January 2023, I completed my Master's degree in Marketing and International Trade of Wines and Spirits, and in February 2024, I completed my WSET Level 2. In the past, I have also obtained a diploma in marketing techniques with a focus on international trade and a degree in event management.

I was in charge of wine tourism and cellars at Château Fombrauge, a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé, and i am now in charge of multi-site wine tourism for the BOISSET group, working all over Burgundy.

I'm now looking to go abroad to expand my knowledge of the wine world.

Expérience

After my initial studies in business and event management, I worked in a wide variety of positions. As far as wine is concerned, my most convincing experiences were at Château Fombrauge and in my current position.
As Oenotourism and Cellar Manager at Château Fombrauge, I was responsible for managing the boutique in terms of sales and purchasing, partnerships, communication, administration, stock management and customer management. I also had the opportunity to be a training supervisor and to train a trainee on a daily basis. On a daily basis, I gave tours and tastings of the estate in French and English, as well as specific tastings and blending discovery workshops. A typical day consisted of opening the sales cellar, welcoming groups and showing them around the vineyard, vat room and cellar, explaining the history of the estate, viticulture and vinification. We then moved on to the tasting, during which I presented the different wines, their blends, the vintage and the aromas. There were about 3 visits a day, each lasting an hour and a half. At the end of the day, I would close the cases and check the stock, then close the sales cellar.

In my current position as Multi-site Wine Tourism Manager, I travel to 8 different sites between the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. My main role is to support the teams with visits, tastings and store management. So I have to be able to manage each site independently at all times, if need be, or join the teams already in place. This means I have to be highly adaptable and fully aware of the differences between the sites and the Burgundy sub-regions.

I joined this group because of the multi-disciplinary nature of the job, and because I wanted to understand exactly how Burgundy winegrowing works.

Éducation

I obtained my Master's degree in Marketing and International Trade of Wines and Spirits in 2023. This is my most coherent degree in relation to my choice to work in wine, along with my WSET Level 2, obtained in February 2024. After my studies in event management in 2019, I started working on different positions in order to enter the workforce. It was in 2022 that I decided to go back to school to work in wine, because I finally needed to make my passion my profession.

It was a very comprehensive course in which we took classes in French and English in oenology, wine tasting, food and wine pairing, international trade, import/export, the study of different vineyards in France and around the world, and we were able to visit many winegrowers, mainly in Alsace.

After the course, we had to do a 6-month internship with a company. I was living in Alsace for my Master's degree, and went to do my internship at Château Pape Clément, Mr Bernard Magrez's Grand Cru Classé de Graves in Pessac, near Bordeaux. After 1 month's internship there, my internship supervisor offered me a job as wine tourism and cellar manager at Château Fombrauge, a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé.
