I intend to build a career in Asset management, which is the area of immense interest to me and towards which my education is directed. I am looking for a summer internship which can offer me the opportunity to apply my academic and professional learnings to real-life investing, with a steep learning curve involving market screening, understanding business models, financial modelling and valuation, negotiations, legal agreements and exits. I have the ability to respond to unstructured situations and make things organised and simple. My approach to problem-solving is both analytical and creative. Given my strong competence in Finance, academic foundation in the field and overall common-sense approach, I am confident of my success.

I worked in Financial modelling for 1 year (2020-2021). I was working as a Research analyst for 3 months and was then promoted to Senior analyst. As a research analyst, my main responsibility was to build financial models for publicly listed companies in the United states . As a Senior analyst, I was managing a team of 20 analysts- ensuring optimum productivity and reviewing financial models for private companies based out of Europe.

My most recent role was as a Trade Analyst(2022). It involved assisting the process of carrying out Fundamental analysis to facilitate trade in the Indian market.

I recently passed the Level-3 exam from CFA Institute. I think all 3 levels combined have added substantial value and knowledge to my skillset. I learned about various investment instruments in detail(Equity, fixed income, alternate investments, derivatives) and how they all can be combined to formulate an optimal portfolio for an individual. I read about topics such as financial reporting and analysis which helped me strengthen accounting concepts. I also studied economics and behavioural finance to analyse external and qualitative factors involved in decision making. 

Overall, I believe it has helped me in getting vital in-depth knowledge about financial concepts and will help me immensely in my next role.
