Soumaya ezazaa

My name is Soumaya from Morocco. I have a background in Architecture and Urban Planning. I obtained a bachelor's and master's of Architecture from Ecole Nationale d'Architecture in Morocco, and a completed a fully funded master's program in Urban Planning & Design from the University of Seoul in South Korea. I was able to train as a young architect in several architectural firms in both Morocco and South Korea, and I worked for one year as a green building consultant at the Global Green Growth Institute HQ in Seoul. This latter experience helped me to expand my knowledge about sustainability and green development in the construction industry and cities. I believe that cities should thrive with healthy spaces for all and I want to contribute in the development of more sustainable planet earth through impactful work that reflects my principles and work ethics. 

While pursuing my studies I trained in several architecture offices in Morocco and South Korea. My last traineeship was at acolab Architecture office in Seoul, South where I worked for 3 months and gained insightful experience. I was able to participate in the design of several projects, draw schematic documents and conceive 3D models, and more. In July 2021 I started working at the Global Green Growth Institute in Seoul first as a researcher intern for 6 months. During this time I supported several ongoing projects in both the department of Green building and Green cities. I was able to use my skills to the fullest. Just after I was upgraded as a green building consultant for 6 months, and during this time my job consisted of developing briefs as technical advisory tools for member countries. I successfully developed 8 briefs summarizing green building innovative technologies and I presented these briefs to stakeholders during two knowledge-sharing sessions.
