Tasnime Ouchtar

My name is Tasnime Ouchtar and I am a Masters Mechanical Engineering student at Mines Paristech (PSL University). Mines ParisTech is a french top-engineering school, giving its student the opportunity to lead big companies in France and Europe. I am currently doing my gap year between my first and second years of Masters and therefore I am looking for an internship.

I have worked in Brussels for 6 months for an internship with Glimpact, a start-up consulting other companies to reduce their environmental footprint by making Life Cycle Analysis of products and entities. It was a great opportunity that pushed me to learn how to efficiently tackle a problem as a team and create complex Excel VBA/Macros to analyze X number of companies’ products data. During this internship, I used a lot of MS Office tools to gather data and do impactful presentations. The experience resulted in me presenting my environmental analysis to the client, who then went on to apply my recommendations. As it was a little start-up, it also taught me how to deal with many projects at the same time and be efficient in my tasks.

I have done a trimester studying Fluid Mechanics in a research laboratory in France, which led to the publication of a scientific article. We have also done a project using mechatronics and fluid dynamics and constructed a drone which got high marks. For this project, I was in charge of the CAD part using CATIA.
