Currently, I am working in health economics at PSL, France, where I focus on analyzing the causality between antibiotic consumption and antibiotic resistance. I use various instrumental variables to address the endogeneity issue, such as animal consumption of antibiotics. Through my work, I have gained extensive experience working with diverse databases, including MIDAS, TESSy, WHO, ECDC, the Unified Medical Language System, and the Global Burden of Disease database. Furthermore, to obtain data that are not available from websites and databases, I have utilized Python to scrape information from annual reports. My ability to collect data from multiple sources and my experience with database management will be an asset in this position. I possess advanced proficiency in STATA and Python, allowing me to effectively conduct complex data analysis and modeling.

During my work, I compared the number of DDD (Daily Defined Dose) of antibiotic consumption between the TESSy database and the MIDAS database. This involved a complicated matching process between molecule names in MIDAS and ATC codes on the WHO website, as combinations in MIDAS can include both molecule names and molecule group names. I matched and identified them through Stata, and finally secured around 80 per cent country-year-molecule observations that were similar between the two datasets. I reviewed every detail of data collection in both databases to ensure that the data were compared under the same conditions. My experience of working with medical databases has strengthened my ability to identify errors by plotting charts, reorganizing data, and making reasonable guesses based on background information.

I have also tutored hundreds of hours in a one-on-one setting as a part-time job for undergraduates from top universities in the UK, the US, and Canada, including LSE, UCL, UBC, SFU, University of Toronto, University of Edinburgh, etc. Hence, I am confident in my ability to contribute to academic teaching.
