Yari de Vries is a contemporary dance artist and choreographer, trained in dance, voice and movement, composition, contact improvisation, partnering, physical theatre. Yari enjoys physical challenges and is always up for something new. He combines his creative mind with his instrument to engage in research and new works fully. During the year of the

2017 – 2018 at “De Stilte”  De Stilte is a professional dance company in the Southern region of the Netherlands, that focuses entirely on developing productions and performing for children. 

2018 march Henry Jurriens foundation a tribute to Charles Visser with Carmen Rozestraten as Choreographer

2018 march Dance performance with Ivo Dimchev

2018 may till September  Dancer at Disneyland Paris

2019 February till July Tui Magic Life dancer and fitness instructor; Yoga, Pilates, Bootcamps and Zumba.

2019 octobre – 2020 march // Compagnie La Baraka, 2 creations with  Nawal Lagraa and Abou Lagraa    // Festival Suresnes Cite, Theatre Liberte Toulon, Theatre National de la Danse Chaillot Paris, Les theatres de la Ville du Luxembourg, Theatre des Cordeliers Annonay.

2020 march - current // Move with Yari founded during the pandemic a dance-based workout, movement coach, and dancer located in Paris. 

2014 – 2018  Bachelor of Performing Arts, at the Urban Contemporary department based in Amsterdam. With creations of Gerleen Balstra, Ference Feher, Erion Kruja, Heidi Vierthaler, Giulio d'Anna, and workshops from Club Guy and Roni, Ivgi & Greben, Karina Holla, Michael Schumacher, Sedrig Verwoert, Corneliu Ganea and Dorry Aben. 

2013 – 2014  Bachelor of Performing Arts at Codarts based in Rotterdam

2008 – 2013  Pre-Education of Performing Arts at Codarts based in Rotterdam with creations and repertoire of Jiří Kylián, Neel Verdoorn, Jens van Daele, Keith-Derrick Randolph, Ohad Naharin, Introdans and Adriaan Luteijn.
