I am Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmad, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Le Havre Normandy, France, specializing in Soil Science, Microbial Biotechnology, and Environmental Remediation. My research focuses on developing sustainable solutions for contaminated soils and sediments, including biosurfactant-based remediation, thermal processing, and eco-friendly material valorization.
With over a decade of academic and research experience across France, China, Oman, Pakistan, and the USA, I have contributed to 40+ peer-reviewed publications (H-index: 23; >1250 citations). I actively collaborate with academic, governmental, and industrial partners, bridging laboratory research with real-world applications in bioremediation, soil fertility, and circular economy solutions.
Beyond research, I am passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and scientific communication, having taught courses in Soil Microbiology, Environmental Soil Science, and Agro-Biotechnology. My career goal is to advance innovative and practical technologies that transform environmental challenges into opportunities for sustainability and resource recovery.
Expérience
I am a Soil Science researcher with extensive experience in soil and sediment remediation, bioremediation, and environmental sustainability. Currently, I serve as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Le Havre Normandy (France), leading projects on the valorization of polluted sediments and wastewater sludge into eco-friendly construction materials.
Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant in Oman, a Postdoctoral Fellow in China, and an Assistant Professor in Pakistan, focusing on biosurfactant-based soil and water remediation, microbial applications in agriculture, and soil health improvement. I also gained international research exposure at the University of California, Riverside (USA).
My career highlights include 40+ publications, international collaborations, and industry-academia projects, bridging research with practical applications in environmental biotechnology and circular economy solutions.
