Within the Group, you will join the Group Risk Management department.
Within this Department,
you will be part of the Strategic Risk Management Team.

Your job and daily missions:

JOB PURPOSE

As Strategic Risks Manager, belonging to the team of Group Head of LH&S Risks & Strategic Risks, ensure proper identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of strategic risks;
Lead the annual publication of AXA's Future Risks Report;
Followup the key risks of the strategic plan as well as the top 10 risks;
Coordinate transversal risks assessments requested by the MC or the BoD.

DIMENSION
The Strategic Risk Management is a new department created since the GRM/GUO organization adjustment in September 2023.

As Head of Strategic Risks, direct management of 1 intern and potentially an analyst (to be assessed in 2025), animation of a Group-wide community of c.

100 risk managers.

CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES

Proper identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of emerging risks that could potentially impact AXA in the next 5 to 10 years.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assessment and reporting on ad hoc transversal risks issues / questions (recent examples: impact of Middle East tensions on AXA Group, Impact of a Japanese scenario on the HK Life business, etc);
Carry out the inventory and the followup of key risks of the strategic plan;
Organize the quarterly risk forum;
Lead the annual publication of AXA's Future Risks Report;
Followup the top risks and the risks of the strategic plan.

Votre profil:

Technical knowledge and professional experience

10y+ experience in insurance, risk management and main KPIs
Good business acumen: understanding of the strategic issues facing the Group, with a demonstrated ability to rapidly understand, assimilate, analyze and act on business issues
Analytical and synthesizing skills, e.g. ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to document and present information in a concise and businessoriented manner (e.g. for senior management)
Strong project management skills
Fully fluent in English and French

Personal and behavioral skills

Capacity to develop strategic relationships with different stakeholders
Being influential to ensure effective execution of decisions (even when there is no line of authority)
Actionoriented, deliveryfocused mindset with strong project management skills
High degree of rigor and reliability, combining good analytical skills with the ability to summarize and select relevant information
Ability to interact with a variety of different stakeholders (in operating entities, within and outside the Group, etc.) in a multicultural context
Ability to prioritize and deal with conflicting priorities daily using discretion and professionalism
Management of time, negotiation, ability to adapt
