We are looking for a Rotor and Suspensions design engineer joining the team of 35 persons based in Marignane.

A dynamic team with various activities:

development and certification of helicopter rotor systems, development of innovative projects (demonstrators, technological bricks), in-service incidents treatment, technical support for production, customer questions, etc.

A team with varied and experienced profiles promoting exchange and continuous improvement.

A team in constant interface with the different AH sectors: ground and flight tests, material and expertise laboratory, production preparation, loads, thermal, other systems (blades, flight controls, transmission, structure,...), purchasing, support, projects, programs, the AH sites (Paris Le Bourget, Donauworth), the subcontracting companies, the suppliers.

Your challenges:

Within the design team, you will be in charge of:

design of rotor and suspension systems, following detailed design & compliance to requirements of safety, performance, manufacturing, assembly, reliability for any design change and/or new design.

- substantiation and certification through : flight, ground or bench tests (tests requests, preparation, attendance, conclusions), analysis.
- technical documentations (certification documents with direct discussions with EASA, internal documents).
- maintenance.
- non-conformity treatment on parts and assembly.
- knowledge capitalization.

You will:
- work within a project dedicated squad and be interfaced with a lot of different Airbus Helicopters entities (stress analysis, work preparation, quality, production, laboratory tests, flight tests, project, configuration, airworthiness, other systems design offices, program, customer support,) and equipment suppliers.
- be in a close interaction with the whole Rotor Systems Core Design organization, Experts and Compliance Verification Engineers.
- have deep interactions with physical parts, whatever it is linked to production (workshops, manufacturing, assembly, MRO), bench tests, helicopters.
- contribute to the improvement of our design rules and methods.

Depending on your experience, you may also be required to occupy a function of TVE (Technical Verification Engineer), technical referent with the responsibility of validating the deliverables to ensure that these deliverables correspond to our design rules and methods (HTECH technical reference).

Your profile:

Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
Synthesis spirit, rigorous, product and operation oriented
Good communication skills and relationship, team spirit
Language Skills: Advanced level in English and negotiation level in French

Any of the following skills & experience would be plus:

More than 2 years of experience in aeronautical domain
Experience in certification
Language skills: German

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
