Within the Trains' Team at Orient-Express, the Procurement Manager will be responsible and accountable for establishing and tracking procurements for railway projects of the brand and for both first and second rank suppliers.

Joining our dedicated team for railway projects, the Procurement Manager steps into an ongoing project requiring meticulous monitoring of purchases and supplier engagements.

With primary industrial contracts already in place, the role involves close collaboration with the technical director as well as the planning manager to ensure adherence to critical timelines and to technical specifications and with suppliers' procurement managers to maintain budgetary and technical compliance.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Your missions and responsibilities:


Purchasing / Procurement:

  • Track procurements from primary industrial suppliers, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and service providers ensuring favorable terms and conditions for Orient-Express
  • Set up full supplier Over seeing KPI
  • Identify and select suppliers and subcontractors to be included in the "Pannel."
  • Issuing purchase orders and receiving receipts with the quality manager and the contract manager

Integrated Lifecycle Management (ILS):

  • Initiate procurement activities for Train components, including spare parts, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Define the "Product/Suppliers" pairing
  • Define optimal inventory levels
  • Monitor orders placed by the industrial suppliers, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain project momentum
  • Implement an adapted stock management procedures to streamline inventory processes and always ensure adequate stock levels
  • Exploitation & Maintenance
  • With the Contract Manager, establish contracts related to exploitation & maintenance services, ensuring compliance between operations and industrial feasibility of maintenance and repair periods
  • Master's degree in engineering or commerce with commodity related background
  • Relevant experience in a previous role, within the manufacturing industry
  • French and Italian language required. Other languages such as English are a plus
  • Strong management skills
  • Experience working with multiple partners
  • Capable of leading global negotiations for high value contracts
  • Strong knowledge of the key aspects of procurement processes
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
  • Deep understanding of inventory management principles and practices
  • Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures
  • Ability to understand and develop legal contracts, expertise in contract management
  • Results driven, self
- starter, problem solver with proven ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion

  • Strong sense of organization, rigor, and attention to detail
