Organization

  • Function: Project Management within Subsea and Land Systems (SLS) BG
  • Country: Norway
  • Location: Helsfyr / Oslo, and other units and sites where applicable


  • Line Supervisor: Manager

  • Discipline Supervisor: Discipline responsible within applicable area
  • Operational supervisor: Project Manager

Context

  • The Turnkey and Offshore Project section is responsible for execution of projects within the business group
  • Manage and assure that Nexans Q
    HSER system and procedures and Client's requirements and expectations are met
  • The team is spread between several locations but will also support execution activities ongoing in other plants and sites within the SLS business group
  • The Job Description, or parts of it, may be used for temporary roles in specific projects

Purpose

  • Manage all aspects of Q
    HSER in project during Tender phase when required.
  • Manage all aspects of Q
    HSER in project from project Startup to Close-Out as required in the Contract
  • Ensure that the project team is knowledgeable about and compliant to Q
    HSER systems and tools
  • Assist in Continuous Improvement development of the organization with regards to Q
    HSER activities
**Areas of responsibility

GENERAL

  • Manage and communicate the required Q
    HSER activities for project by preparing the relevant Project Plans and Procedures
  • Manage Project Q
    HSER plans from project Startup to Close Out within the defined areas manufacturing and / or installation
  • Manage the client Q
    HSER requirements and interfaces
  • In tender, analyse the Q
    HSER demands and give input to the Tender Manager
  • Structure and manage the quality assurance planning tools as required by the project
  • Contribute in establishing Final Documentation Index file and followup of documentation and traceability

REPORTING

  • Manage & distribute KPI's related to Q
    HSER as specific to the Project
  • Monitor and support compliance with the Project Model Control Gates
  • Alert the Project Manager of any risks or delays with the potential of having a detrimental effect on Q
    HSER activities or results
  • Contribute to required reporting towards Client
  • Monitor and evaluate if quality assurance planning & Client requirements are well applied

HSE

  • Promote Safety First at all Project Sites
  • Promote and/or fascilitate the utilization of Safe Job Analysis, Toolbox Talks, Risk Assessments etc and/or participate in them together with Factory
    HSE department and/or together with the
    HSE Site Representative for certain activities
NON-CONFORMANCE HANDLING AND
REPORTING

  • Manage project incindents as required
  • Manage project 8D Analyses as required
  • Manage Client Non Conformance Reporting as required
INSPECTION & TEST PLANS

  • Prepare the Project Inspection and Test Plan as per standardized procedure / template
  • Notify, plan and synchronise with Clients on applicable R, W and H points from the project ITP
  • Constitute main contact point for Client inspectors

AUDITING

  • Assist and coordinate Client Audits
  • Support on Supplier Audits when required

RISK

  • Establish and maintain the Project Risk Register.
  • Assist the Project Manager in implementing the Risk Management System with respect to;
  • Fasciltate the Risk Activites required by the project
  • Risk Treatment.
  • Followup of actions.
  • Updating the Risk Register.
  • Reporting risks.
  • Determine risks that require any additional interventions.
  • Preparation of the Projects Risk Meeting Plan and Monthly Reporting.
  • Facilitate DFMEA activities in support of the project as required (if trained)

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead the process for Knowledge Management through the Lessons Learned register

OTHER

  • Participate and contribute to skills development and improvement opportunities in the Turnkey and Offshore Project Section
  • Participate, Develop and Initiate improvements to internal Q
    HSER procedures as necessary
