In the Supplier Quality Development (SQD) team, belonging to Supplier Quality Department, you will be in charge of the SQD Strategy deployment for a dedicated scope of commodities / products within a Procurement domain.

Most specifically, you will be in charge of
Wheelsets, Gearboxes including Bearings.
Hierarchically reporting to the SQD Group Manager of the domain and working in close collaboration with Commodity Managers and Procurement teams, your missions will be:

  • Deployment of Supplier Quality Strategy on supplier sites with Procurement on your scope
  • Be the Quality referent for commodities under your responsibility and influence both procurement strategy & suppliers to improve the quality level of supplied parts & services
  • Organize the audit plan, perform audits and all necessary actions to close the identified issues
  • Achieve the qualification of suppliers in the Priority List (worldwide targets) on Generic and Special Processes with adequate audits and followup action plans
  • Develop the strategic suppliers of your scope, propose suppliers development & improvement actions (including but not limited to the management of Red & Yellow suppliers), and implement them to support capability improvement of our suppliers panel.
  • Achievement on Supplier Quality Development (SQD) targets for your scope, communication and reporting
  • Perform analysis of the performance of suppliers in your scope and actively participate to suppliers' monthly reviews
  • Contribute to Global Quality Performance of the suppliers for Projects execution
  • Through regular reviews at commodity level, ensure the deployment of SQD strategy
  • Prepare and consolidate the Priority List of your scope with Commodity Managers, and then the associated yearly audit plan (see 1.)
  • Support Alstom sites for suppliers with specific issues
  • Ensure right level of communication and feedback to Procurement and SQ partners regarding supplier performance (weekly reports, monthly dashboard review meetings,)
  • Provide communication to SQD teams worldwide for the commodities under his/her scope of responsibilities
  • Provide support to SQD teams worldwide for critical issues for his/her scope
  • Supporting the deployment of SQD tools, methods and processes
  • Be a leader or active participant of transverse work groups to improve or create SQ standards, processes or tools
  • Be a referent for SQD rules and standards, and if relevant a trainer on SQD tools or processes
  • Bring your field expertise to improve SQD standards
  • May be asked to perform support missions in the Regions.


You have 5 to 10 years work experience in the industry, with experience in Industrial, Quality or Supplier Quality positions.

You have a deep knowledge on problem solving tools and risks analysis.


You have a strong and demonstrated experience about industrial manufacturing processes and especially some Special/critical processes such as
:Machining, Forging, Torque tightening, Non-destructive Testing, Painting.


You will travel regularly on supplier sites (2 to 3 times per month, mainly in Europe)

Frequent international travels: 50% to 70% of the time

Fluent in English, you have leadership, good communication skills and the ability to work with a matrix organization. Organized, with a process-oriented mindset and also customer oriented & reactive, you are recognized as a supportive team player.
