Job Summary
Uses broad knowledge of skills, while working on significant and unique issues. Responsible for supporting the Directors within the team.

Analyzes data, provides qualitative insight and executes tasks, and is responsible for the execution of tasks to support Metro Strategy execution.

Acts collaboratively to determine methods and procedures.


Responsibilities
Metro Strategy - Co-Create, Maintain/ Enforce, Execute

  • Using market knowledge based on competitive intel gathered from customers, brokers, agents and others to support CF directors in executing the strategy
  • Leverages market understanding and current supply and demand conditions in metro to recommend pricing thresholds for IBXs and target vertical mix in execution of the strategy to CF Directors
  • Supports CF collaboration with business development and sales to identify optimal anchors in new IBXs/expansion phases to optimize existing IBX margins
  • Independently conducts analysis and makes recommendations business case revenue assumptions, including: fill rate, pricing, density, LFP vs. retail mix and interconnection % to CF Directors
  • Supports the longterm strategy by determining methods based on trends, pipeline and input, and builds bottom up bookings forecast
  • Has knowledge of budget process that determines methods and procedures to ensure the critical linkage between business cases and revenue requirements
  • Facilitate QoR scheduling and PMO on follow up items drive alignment within Comm Ops to ensure right content, right time
Sales Facilitation

  • Assists CF Directors with IBX data center optimization. Reviews the current client portfolio contract(s) that are nearing the expiration date(s) that have not reached pricing expectations, facilitate engagement with sales + MD
  • Provides significant and unique expertise while bringing in the Commercial Finance Directors and Managing Directors (MDs) review and action as appropriate for voluntary churn.
  • Draw cap overage and PEC vs. draw cap compliance; works with commercial solutions and sales to maximize revenue uptick from these programs
Demand Generation

  • Provide metro level research, findings and solutioning support to regional and global PMO and CF Directors on demand generation efforts
  • Partners with Commercial Optimisation to define analytics / frameworks needed for demand generation
  • Works in conjunction with other Commercial Associates to maintain consistency of approach, shares learning and provides global support during periods of absence.
Capacity Management and Special Projects

  • Analyzes capacity data, assesses capacity related risks and runs scenario planning to inform decisions and minimize risk to support Commercial Finance Directors; cabs on hold, "good churn", etc
  • Special projects as needed to support execution of the Metro Strategy

Qualifications

  • Solid experience, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Equinix business model and values
  • Familiarity of Equinix strategy, basic knowledge of how deals are constructed and project management
  • Experience accomplishing objectives collaboratively via influence (vs. hierarchy) in a highly matrixed environment

  • With direction, prepare and deliver content to key stakeholders inside and outside Commercial Operations content will be relied upon to make key strategic decisions
