Job Description:


We are looking for a Category Merchandising Manager, Outdoor W/M
to:

  • Define and drive the seasonal merchandising strategy, aligned with the business division vision, positioning, strategy and targets.

Your Scope:


  • Product: Outdoor Footwear (hiking, backpacking, kids)
  • Region: Global

You will work in close collaboration with Category Merchandisers, Demand/Supply, Marketing, Sales, Product teams.

You will report directly to the Commercial Director, Footwear.

Main Activities:


Merchandising and Line Planning

  • Define & execute the overall merchandising strategy, from market input, early product creation stage to deliver the right business package, based on merchandising sufficiency & business targets.
  • Identify opportunities and risks in consumer purchases, channel and market evolution with solutions on impact of product range.
  • Codefine the brief of 24 month and seasonal line plans (focus on sufficiency, flow, lifecycle, and price) with product line managers, based on the category strategy & product sufficiency analysis by channel.
  • Through I2P (idea to product) gates and commercial process, define thoughtful & build compelling seasonal channel right assortments for wholesale with omnichannel approach to address Brand consumer targets by region with the right level of activation & experience.
  • Develop plug & play merchandising assortment tools for sales organizations.
  • Drive omni channel merchandising toolbox with exclusive programs, product prelaunch and specific SMU allocation & brief

Global and Strategic Account Merchandising Lead

  • Be the global merchandising leader for the category to pilot and coordinate merchandising strategy and execution
  • Be part of sell in process: support the longterm business plan with premium partners
  • Fully understand consumer and regional market requirements through consumer research and sales analysis by channel
  • Deliver the merchandiser category efficiency (financial targets & KPIs, article centric)
  • Influence future product strategies where needed to address business trends
  • Identify risk and opportunities by channel and product type
  • Support sell in and sell out needs
  • Ensure product flow is optimized through a wellmanaged merchandising plan that allows for timely merchandise deliveries
