About the role:
Our Finance Team is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Head of Investments (full-time) to start as soon as possible
Your responsibilities:
- Managing, overseeing and reporting on our outsourced asset management function.
- Assume ownership for the following risks (based on our J-SOX framework): Investment Market Volatility, FX Risk, Investment Counterparty Risk, Investment Operation Risk, Asset Concentration, and Liquidity.
- Coordinate the SAA and Investment related business plan (ie. coordinate the strategy setting with 1st Line and Risk Appetite and Limit setting with 2nd Line).
- Own and manage the ALM & Liquidity and the Derivative Strategy.
- Own and manage ALM limits to ensure IFRS 17 P&L volatility is sufficiently considered on the investment side as well as relevant MI is produced, monitored and actions taken.
- Own and maintain the Investment Governance Framework (Investment Policy, ALM & Liquidity Standard, Derivatives Policy), and implement necessary changes to the Investment Mandate and associated Policies and Standards.
- Definition and coordination of appropriate MI, benchmarking, etc. for investments at our outsourcing partner.
- Coordinating selection and approval of investment managers (or outsourcing management through a service level agreement).
- The Investment Monthly Meeting (IMM) has delegated authority in respect of the Executive Board's responsibilities and duties regarding ALM and investment decisions. The Head of Investments is acting as the secretary of the IMM.
- Supports the preparation of the regulatory reports related to investment and treasury.
- Involvement in day to day investment activities, discuss and coordinate with management and asset management when needed.
- Manage and coordinate with "Risk Analytics Function" for investments (regulatory capital model for investments, integration and benchmarking to respective models used in asset management).
Your profile:
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the investment industry across product and asset classes.
- High degree of knowledge of the regulatory environment in the investment space. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in investment.
- Experience in the finance function of an insurance company is a must; exposure to all aspects (accounting, asset management, reporting, modelling) will be highly appreciated
- Professional qualifications, e.g. BA/Masters' degree, CFA and/or similar.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders of various seniority levels.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex investment concepts and product features to various stakeholders.
- Fluent English, knowledge of other European languages is a strong advantage.
