Position Overview:


  • Supports Vice President and President in all aspects of marketing
  • Develops, manages and implements all product marketing strategies in coordination with internal and external departments, to further develop the Brand's performance (sales, profitability, image and competitive position).
  • Develops and fosters a strong 3year rolling calendar and strategic plan in keeping with the overall category and Brand strategies and objectives globally.
  • Consistently delivers successful products and programs on time and in budget that help grow the business.
  • Manages, trains and develops the marketing expertise of direct reports.

Areas of Responsibilities:


  • Lead the conception, development and implementation of innovative 360degree marketing strategies, promotional programs and product concepts in order to drive business globally and reinforce Brand equity.
  • Spearhead brainstorming and development of all approved initiatives through strong partnerships with support and partner groups (such as Creative, Product development, R&D, Global Communications, Education, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales etc.).
  • Directs preparation of all paperwork necessary to get projects into the system; Manages program development to ensure programs are on time, within budget and meet strategic objectives
  • Serves as the source for all category related information and performs SKUs and portfolio analyses (shipment sales, COGS, line edit, pricing, sampling, competitive analysis, new product forecasts, brand and competitor copy and claims)
  • Responsible for strategy and execution of assets for brand relaunch (videos, copy, claims and demonstration)
  • Own all copywriting for new products, new claims, merchandising, etc
  • Manage all artwork development and creative timeline with Creative, New York Packaging Ops, etc
  • Cultivates close collaborative relationships with affiliate marketing teams to ensure programs developed by global Marketing meet affiliate market needs, and that information is communicated to them
  • Prepares presentations and presents marketing plans to all affiliates, i.e. Sales Meetings, Regional Roundtables, etcPrepare Strategy innovation and branding section.
  • Manage marketing budget.
  • Work on Consumer Insight while partnering with Corporate Consumer Insight team.
  • Work very closely with colleagues and always maintains a positive, cando, teambuilding attitude. Leads by example to create an environment that is encouraging, respectful, and builds team cooperation
  • Manages and is responsible for the performance of 3 direct reports including ontime performance and accuracy of projects.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Position requires 8+ years of marketing in the Beauty industry. Global experience a must. Skincare experience preferred. Strong computer, creative, writing, strategic and analytical skills.
  • The job requires autonomy, strong personal organization skills and ability to set priorities, an individual with a rigorous business and financial discipline. Must be flexible and determined; possessing the ability to handle a multitude of projects and the willingness to put in the time necessary for success.
  • Good analytical capacities and thorough knowledge in all areas of marketing, including knowledge of the functions of product development, trade marketing, packaging design, advertising, and sales and their effect on product marketability.
  • Leadership and a strong taste for challenges. Entrepreneurial spirit. Flexibility, adaptability, enthusiasm and curiosity. Team spirit and collaborative abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communications (English) as well as presentation skills. French a plus.
