Frequent travels required for the position (70% of the time) - Domestic and international -
Be the key Supplier Quality referent at Global Procurement level, in charge of the Domain INDIRECT.
Influence both Procurement strategy and Suppliers to improve the quality level of supplied parts & services.
Drive systematic and continuous Suppliers' Quality Performance within his/her scope to identify and implement adequate improvement/development actions for key Suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deploy the Supplier Quality Development strategy within the Global Procurement Domain
Be the Supplier Quality referent for the Global Procurement Domain Director to influence the Procurement strategy and to improve the quality level of services provided by the suppliers.
- Advise the Domain Director in the definition and execution of the procurement Domain and Commodities strategy
- Conduct regular reviews at Global Procurement Domain level to ensure the deployment of Supplier Quality Development strategy and provide consolidated view of supplier Panel's Quality performance & maturity to the Domain Director
Ensure delivery of evaluation of Supplier's Processes - off cycle audits such as "External Services" audits (related to "intellectual services provided by Suppliers such as engineering activities) and "External Operations Execution"(related to sub-contracted physical activities such as Transport and Logistics):
- Define and consolidate the SQD Priority List (list of the most important and impacting suppliers) for his/her scope and the associated yearly audit plan
- Organize, plan and make the audits for the Suppliers included in the SQD Priority List and ensure the closing of the issues on time
- Ensure consistency of the audits delivered by the Regional SQ qualified auditors for the suppliers belonging to his/her scope of responsibility (suppliers being part or not of the SQD Priority List)
- Achieve the SQD commitment and objectives related to Priority List in term of evaluation and qualification coverage, with adequate audits and Followup
Measure, Improve and sustain Quality performance of suppliers:
- Consolidate and analyze the quality performance of the suppliers under his/her scope of responsibility
- Ensure adequate communication to the suppliers about their Quality Performance (e.g. Quarterly Quality Review,)
- Strongly support the quality crisis in his/her Domain
- Contribute to the Global Quality performance of the Suppliers identifying and deploying Quality development initiatives for the most strategic/critical suppliers
Leverage Supplier Quality network knowledge:
- Be the Supplier Quality referent regarding the Suppliers and commodities within his/her scope of responsibility and provide adequate support for resolution of the critical issues or Crisis
- Contribute to the development of the Supplier Quality Network in partnership with other Supplier Quality departments
- Identify and support the qualification process of Supplier Quality Auditors within is Region to increase SQ auditor network (specific audits for indirect scope)
Contribute to the definition and deployment of SQ tools, methods and Processes:
- Participate to the definition of the Supplier Quality Development Strategy
- Promote Supplier Quality initiatives and Ways of Working across internal business partners and towards Suppliers.
- Be a referent for Supplier Quality Development Rules and standards
- Lead or strongly contribute to the Working Groups to continuously improve Supplier Quality Standards / Processes / Tools / Methodologies /
Frequent travels required for the position (70% of the time) - Domestic and international.
DESIRED PROFILE:
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Graduated from Technical and/or Quality Engineering degree
- Masters degree level or equivalent
Experience
Mandatory:
- 710 years of experience in similar industry with position such as Quality, Production, Engineering or equivalent
- Quality tools experienced (eg problem solving/Risk management tools)
- Services providers ' Processes knowledge
- Experience in managing global suppliers
