We are looking for a Tolerancing Expert at Helicopter level in Airframe Design and Mechanical System Installation Team.Your working environment:

Your challenges:
- Piloting and cascading the geometrical requirements from the final H/C assembly level to the elementary part level
- Tolerancing analysis and contribution to design proposals
- Leading the geometrical analysis to ensure first time right installation
- Convergence of geometrical requirements between Design Office and Production services
- Convergence of geometrical requirements with suppliers and/or partners
- Management of key characteristics at H/C level following the APQP methodology
- Tolerancing process and methodology definition; and improvement of the process and the tools (within the métier and in the complete engineering community)
- Technical documentation to ensure a reliable process based on latest validated technologies.
This position leads to have most of engineering community as interface; and it involves business trips to partners, suppliers and to Donauwoerth site in Germany.
Your profile:
You will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Structure or related discipline (aerospace or mechanical engineering)
Geometrical functional analysis experience/knowledge
Good knowledge in design concept
Understanding of "Chain of dimensions"
Aeronautical concept assembly knowledge
Knowledge of Airbus tolerancing tools (e.g. Mecamaster, KCnT suite, Mecamaster, builder, VPM) is preferable but not mandatory
CATIA V5 knowledge
Advance level in English
Tolerancing field need to be reinforced within airframe design department; and then deployed within Airbus Helicopters engineering community. Therefore an engineer with "design office" skills and coming from a school related to structural design is required.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
