Our footwear products are crafted in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans in France's Isère region and require no fewer than 150 manual operations, i.e.

the same number as when the company was created in 1908.

The
Galibier Sales and Marketing Manager position could be for you Your duties will be as follows


Strategy

  • Define the Galibier international business and marketing strategy;
  • Implement and monitor the business and marketing plan;
  • Ensure consistency between the strategy and action plans;
  • Draw up the distribution, pricing and terms of sale policies. Lead meetings on these topics;
  • Establish sales objectives, annual and longterm margins (3/5 years), according to the markets, maximising network profitability;
  • Ensure that subsidiaries, distributors, agents and the online store are all aligned with the business guidelines.

Business and Operations Plan/Sales forecasts

  • Monitor, analyse and correct the Business and Operations Plan where necessary, remaining as realistic as possible, working with the Product/Project Manager.

Reporting

  • Define, monitor, analyse and explain KPIs;
  • Monitor and analyse business performance against objectives, previous seasons, competitors and the operations plan: Analyse the sales figures, establish/update yearend trading forecasts on a monthly basis and share these figures;
  • Draw up reports (countries, products, customers) and manage business objectives;
  • Pass on any information regarding issues with quality, satisfaction, etc. to the MD.

Market developments

  • Identify new market opportunities and look into the feasibility of new products or services;
  • Study the competition (and/or market) and gather as much market information as possible (market share, volume, turnover, etc.), analyse and share this information;
  • Define our targets (Quantity/Quality). Formalise needs;
  • Organise sales meetings.

Business Coordination

  • Lead, train and support the agents/distributors in terms of forecasts/performance
  • Check stock levels of finished products in association with the Finance Director and define any action points;
  • Define and suggest preventive/corrective action if necessary.

Marketing

  • Manage the development of the Sell In tools (Catalogue, key selling points, content, price list, samples) and sell out tools (text/photo/video/advertising display content);
  • Manage press reviews with the support of the Brand Engagement Manager and the selected agency;
  • Manage trade fairs.

Team management

EXPERTISE

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the international outdoor sector
  • Confidently manage operational results: SMART objectives, achieve them and demonstrate ability to look at the bigger picture in order to improve the results.
  • Be confident in ERPs and the Office suite
  • Understand and accommodate the needs of internal/external customers,
  • Organisational and analytical skills
