As a Backend Developer, you will be a key member of the Witbe R&D Department, joining one of our Feature Teams.

Your main role will be working on our backend server, Maestro, developed in Ruby on Rails.

Maestro is the core of the Witbe Suite, responsible for orchestrating the client-side software with all the robot backend services.

You will play a critical role in maintaining, improving, and optimizing this component, as well as contributing to the creation of new features or services that enhance our product.


You will work on:


  • Automated orchestration of robot side backend services
  • Cuttingedge technologies for communicating with other backend services
  • Automated bulk command executions onto the robot fleets for file uploads, and maintain and update robots
  • Live video steaming services to monitor connected devices

Responsibilities:


  • Work on the backend server, Maestro, developed in Ruby on Rails
  • Improve and maintain the Maestro component of the Witbe Suite
  • Manage the orchestration of clientside software with robot backend services
  • Contribute to other product features as needed
  • Exercise creative freedom in proposing innovative solution to improve Witbe Suite

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails is essential
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, and understanding of database optimization techniques

Nice to Haves:


  • Experience with Golang, Python
  • Experience in video streaming technologies
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in GRPC or other communication protocols
