Our strong and agile international team continues to grow and adapt to new challenges. Based in Grenoble (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world's most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France).

With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

In joining us you will actively participate in this breathtaking industrial adventure to shape the future of European mobility.

You are responsible for the assembly process of the pouch cell.

The role will evolve from the planning-setting up-improving the pilot line, to planning and setting up the Gigafactory line.


You are embracing the objective of building and structuring Verkor as the most advanced battery manufacturing company in the world.


Responsibilities:


  • Commissioning the pilot and Gigafactory assembly process from FAT to SOP.
  • Collaborating with the product engineering team to optimize the assembly process for the cell design.
  • Improving assembly by increasing the level of process automation, which will save capital and operating costs.
  • Testing and validating stateoftheart technologies for use in the assembly process.
  • During operation, you will complete root cause investigations into defects in the assembly process.

Requirements - Qualifications and skills:


  • Evidence of exceptional ability. Verkor follows a culture of fullcycle engineering where members will have full responsibility and accountability for their projects from start to finish. We are looking for the best of the best.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience in battery manufacturing environment, particularly with lithiumion battery cell Assembly
  • Experience with products sensitive to environmental conditions, such as the electronics or food industries. Cleanroom and dry room experience will be useful.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, defect reduction, and failure analysis.
  • Experience with custom automation equipment (development of critical process requirement / testing plans / layouts / utility )
  • Strong statistical and data analysis skills with tools such as Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
  • Basic: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Preferred: M.S in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Materials or similar discipline.
  • Language: Professional English
