The Role:

Work on the forefront of the energy-transition within Shell Mobility to expand our fast-growing network of electric charge points. We offer electric charging on Shell service stations, public locations and in the future for heavy-duty transport.

We are looking for an EV Engineer within the Mobility Engineering Network team to steer our EPCM partners to successful project delivery in France.

In this role you will be focusing on technical and electrical design and installation of new EV sites.

Shell partners with EPCM companies that deliver EV programmes and project via L3 contractors.

In this role you will be steering project managers to success and continuously add new EV sites to the Mobility network.

You will make sure our partners design, prepare, execute and handover EV projects smoothly and reliably.

Foremost it is your key responsibility to ensure our partners and projects follow Shell's project management controls (DCAF) as well as regulatory/mandatory technical and electrical standards.

You will be looking after safety management practices of our contractors while preparing projects and conducting go-sees in the field.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about safety and project management. It is key to take ownership of EV programmes and deliver within budget and timelines.

You will be the focal point for Shell internal stakeholders to report on progress and will pro-actively come up with solutions to deblock processes in multi-disciplinary Mobility teams.

More specifically, in this role you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Being a role model for Shell's strong health & safety mindset to inspire our extended workforce to reach Goal Zero
  • Responsible to signoff on mandatory global DCAF control points before contractors start execution (Global Mobility Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework)
  • Deliver competitive projects and reach costs reductions through standardization and value initiatives
  • Ensure sound technical design for EV sites through formal signoff of designs by Mobility Global Engineering as the local technical authority for Shell Engineering
  • Drive operational performance on programme and project level to make sure we reach our growth targets yearonyear and proactively identify and deblock issues on the way to continuously add sites to our network
  • Conduct gosees in the field and report on safety observations or execution improvements
  • Report to crossfunctional teams internal to Shell about future delivery expectations and progress take responsibility for continuous progress
  • Chair weekly operation project meetings, participate in performance business reviews
  • Language Level French (native) and English minimum B2 Upper-Intermediate
  • Bachelor Degree qualification with engineering or other relevant technical background
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in project management or engineering.
  • Good understanding of general principles of electrical low voltage is an advantage, otherwise external training required
  • Based in the Shell France La Defense Paris office or at contractor offices, hybrid working as norm in team between home, office and the field/projects
