    Introduction to the Job

    Are you passionate about project control and want to make a difference? Do you like challenges as well as structure? Working as a Cost Engineer/Project Controller at our site in Haugesund, Norway will give you the chance to contribute to a strong project delivery for our company.
    Your role as a Cost Engineer/Project Controller will be to work with Project manager and other project related resources both at Customers and internally – such as Engineering and Operations, supply chain and planning. The position reports to the PRS Commercial Manager and operationally to Project managers in specific projects.

    Job Description

    Main tasks will include, but not be limited to:
    Projects:

    • Review and preparation of Contract Quote documents

    • Co-ordination of all Contract Quote input related to the above

    • Preparation of Contract Quote qualifications.

    • Co-ordinate Contract quote clarifications.

    • Assist the PM in preparing the Work Estimate (WE) based on contract quote, budgets and other information.

    • Focus on and prepare required VOR input, prepare all types of variations and claims and assist in any subsequent negotiations with Company.

    • Coordinate with Planner and Purchaser in preparation of variations, claims and final accounts.

    • Maintain variation order logs.

    • Ensure that accounting and project systems are prepared and functioning with the relevant cost coding structure, reporting formats, etc.

    • Check incoming invoices against requisition/purchase orders/subcontracts/intercompany reports, forecast and/or other information relevant to the invoice. Add accounting specifications if necessary.

    • Prepare invoices and cost input to monthly report for client.

    • Prepare final accounts.

    • Provide the project team with actual figures per month.

    • Make project accruals based on invoices received, requisition/purchase orders/subcontracts/intercompany reports, forecast and/or other information relevant to the accrued cost.

    • Prepare monthly project report with forecast, cash flow report per currency, yearly budget and any other project accounting reports, in close co-operation with the project team.

    • Provide the project team with ad-hoc analysis and/or reports.

    • Ensure that the project reports match the actual accounting figures to date.

    • In coordination with PRS Purchaser and Project manager, reconcile and close out all financial aspects of the project including the main contract with client and all sub-contracts.

    • Maintain the project reporting data-files.
    Base Organization:

    • Ensure that project accounting is performed in accordance with Norwegian accounting standards and tax laws, Technip Norge's internal procedures and the Technip

    Group rules and policies.

    • Provide the accounting department with updated monthly project report, monthly cash flow report per currency, yearly budget and other project related figures.

    • Provide balance sheet control related to projects.

    • Advise accounting department on project issues and update them on general project information. This demands a strong involvement in the daily project work.

    • Provide input on project accounting to tenders when needed.

    • Keep Contract Quotation and Commitment registers up to date.

    • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience from project work

    • Knowledge of accounting principles

    • Strong communications skills, team oriented
