Your role
As a Polyvalent Technical Operator and Driver of the European Youth Centre (EYC), your role will focus on:
driving the EYC shuttle bus to transport people or material (documents, publications, badges, cash) to and from the

under the supervision of the Directorate of General Services (DGS), acting as single contact point with regard to the
fire safety of the EYC, the updating of fire safety documents and the maintenance of the fire safety equipment in the
EYC;
in collaboration with other members of the EYC technical team, preparing conference rooms and operating technical
and audiovisual equipment;

managing the stock of office supplies and educational materials in order to provide the best possible support to the
educational team;
providing logístical and technological support to clients (both internal and external) before and during activities at the
EYC;
in collaboration with other members of the EYC technical team and the DGS, acting as a liaison with external
companies to carry out occasional repairs and routine maintenance work of all kinds in the EYC building;
occasionally being on call at the EYC reception desk from 7.15 to 8.30 and replacing the night or day receptionists if
necessary.
NB:
The Youth Department cooperates extensively with civil society organisations and partners in all member States and beyond
and the European Youth Centre is a residential centre which is open 24/7, thus the duties might involve occasional work at
weekends and evenings, which will be compensated according to the rules in force.
What we are looking for
As a minimum, you must:
licence in France);
have a good knowledge of one of the two official languages of the

What we offer
If successful, you may be offered employment based on an initial fixed-term period of at least one year, corresponding to
the probationary period, at grade C3. After successful completion of a one-year probationary period, which may be extended if
needed, the initial contract may be renewed one or several times for a total duration of service not exceeding four years.
