The Global Head R&D Quality will be accountable to ensure QA oversight of R&D and Medical functions, more specifically Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, Pre-clinical, Regulatory and Medical Affairs to ensure that all applicable GxP expectations are implemented across functions in a compliant manner and in alignment with Ipsen QMS.
Main responsibilities
- Accountable to ensure that state of compliance of different functions is maintained.
- Ensure Quality processes across units are fit for purpose, efficient and harmonized as much as possible
- Identify and drive opportunity for continuous improvement, synergies across units and within Quality function.
- As a leader of quality organization define appropriate organization set up to ensure deliverables meets Ipsen needs and stakeholders expectations.
- Provide strategic, functional, and operational quality leadership to his/her teams and its stakeholders.
- Provide Ipsen with strategic assessment of state of compliance of all operations and organizations accountable for
- Ensure that his/her Quality Organization operates in an efficient way to support Ipsen ambition (BD&L, portfolio & geographical extension, regulatory strategy, launches)
- Provide professional expertise and support to the R&D, Medical affairs and Regulatory Affairs Community as needed.
- Drive critical Quality issues and associated decision patch.
- Manage talent selection, training, development, succession planning and performance management of his/her team.
Leadership
- Accountable to ensure a fit for purpose organization is in place, at any time, to support Ipsen Ambition
- Accountable to build a High Performing team with appropriate capabilities and skills
- Accountable to ensure proper governance and performance review are in place to monitor efficiency of the organization.
- Provide leadership, clear objectives and guidance on Quality deliverables expected within the different units accountable for and monitor associated performance.
- As a Senior Quality Leader, act as an ambassador of Ipsen Quality Culture
- Challenge the status Quo and seek for mindful risk taking and continuous improvement approach and associated optimization/synergies/savings
- Accountable of Budget definition, monitoring and compliance to agreed target.
GxP Accountability
- Provide continuous Quality support, expertise, and guidance to all functional areas accountable for
- Accountable of inspection readiness of all function oversight
- Set Strategy to address Quality Topics that need to be managed at global level to ensure alignment across units
- Ensures quality best practice, processes are defined and implemented in a harmonized manner.
- Define and drives Quality Improvement plan for units accountable for
- Communicate issues, project updates, and project proposals to internal stakeholders and management
- Delivers on strategic projects (Ipsen, R&D, Medical, Global Quality.) per agreed timelines and within budget.
- Chair of the Quality Council that covers areas accountable for

- Recognized and proven Leader who is able to motivate his/her people to deliver outstanding results with or without hierarchical relationships, and through welldeveloped emotional intelligence.

- Requires strategic vision, business skills, and proven leadership in developing, implementing, and supporting innovative business solutions within area accountable for
- A strong record of selecting and developing very competent, energetic and forward thinking professional staff
- Strong practical work experience (Min 15 years) in the Pharmaceutical Industry within
