Job Purpose:

  • Overall responsibility for Sony France's customer shopfront touchpoints (offline & online) of Sony Consumer Electronics products across multiple channel.
  • The MarCom Category Specialist reports to the Marcom Category Manager and has responsibility to ensure that business and brand objectives are met by managing Brand Activation activities such as instore product display, product visual merchandising to deliver strong consumer / shopper resonance, online visibility, engagement and sales conversion for the Sony Brand and product portfolio across the French retail landscape.
  • He/she is responsible to deliver a leading instore & online experience and engaging more customers with Sony technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The MarCom Category Specialist owns the MarCom A&P funds of his/her product category and manages the investment plan behind all Brand Activation marketing activities.
  • He/she develops the annual marketing plans of the category and consecutive quarterly plans as well as has the responsibility to evaluate the return on the investment of said project.
  • Responsible to create and localise powerful display solutions as well as Point of Sale material to improve the shopper experience, generic online content and drive Sony sales. It is important that he/she has a good understanding of Sony products as well as the target customers within the channel to ensure the MarCom approach is aligned to maximise the impact of communication.
  • Responsible to report activity implementation progress to European Products & Communication teams.
  • Responsible to build strong stakeholder's relationships and work closely with Channel Marketing and the Product Marketing team to deliver best in class retail experiences and engaging more customers with Sony products.
Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in project management from planning to creation and delivering
  • Proven experience in launching products in a multichannel environment
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the consumer electronics industry; Competitors, Retailers and Consumers
  • Strong drive to win with a creative and results focused mindset.
  • Strong ability to work and deliver in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within a matrix organisation
  • Strong French & English (written & spoken) and the ability to present/negotiate to all levels
  • Competent with MS Office
