Development Technology Manager F/M/X

We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position
:Development Technology Manager F/M/X, based in Lyon (7e).


The Development Technology Manager F/M/X will be responsible for the manufacturing process from its definition to the design freeze and transfer to industrialization.


With the support of his / her team (3 people), she or he will ensure that the industrial manufacturing process requirements are considered during the product development phases for a robust design transfer between the development and industrial phase.

This position reports to the Global Engineering Director andis based in Lyon.

During the Development phase of project

  • Manages the Design for Manufacturing activities related to injection, and post injection process, such as assembly, decoration, labelling,
  • Ensures that the Design for Manufacturing recommendations are considered for the product design and specifications.
  • Defines the manufacturing process during the development phase and coordinate the delivery of samples according to the development project strategy and requirements.
  • Explores and implements new technologies (prototyping, pilot,) and/or ways of working to continuously improve quality, robustness and lead times of development projects in collaboration with the Global Product development leader.
  • Ensures the good transfer of projects between the development phase and the industrialization phase.
  • Attends the Insight Management meeting as well as the Insight Development Project governance meetings.
For business case study

  • Provides technical input for the business case according to the RFQ procedure.
  • Participates to the NPI periodic review and to the continuous improvement of the process to ensure coherence between the development and the industrial phase.
  • Defines and deploys a methodology based on statistics to define Controlled Dimensions (CoD), Critical Dimension (CrD) as well as their tolerance interval and Cp/Cpk to achieve in production.
  • Coordinates the activities to maintain and develop the technology and supplier list for means of manufacturing samples required during the development phase.
Team management

  • Manages a direct team of 3 people on a daily basis,

You'll help us achieve our corporate growth goals by bringing these skills to Nemera:

Engineering degree in plastics or mechanics, you have at least 10 years of experience in industrial and international environments (pharmaceuticals, automotive, packaging, etc.) with plastic injection manufacturing processes.


You already managed technical teams in solid line, and you demonstrate strong leadership skills in supporting your colleagues and developing their skills.

You have the ability to maintain an active listening style and a positive working environment.

You have proven expertise in defining and quoting technical drawings, and in statistical analysis methods (6 sigma, Cp, CpK),

As well as knowledge of risk analysis tools, metrological measurement methods and product testing methods.

You are fluent in French and English (spoken and written) and have excellent communication skills.

This position requires frequent travelling.

We offer the possibility of working from home 2 days per week
