Your role

Within the Business intelligence team, you will work with the Sustainability Operational transformation team : understand their needs, design and build a set of tools to support the Carbon transition roadmap.

The first and main outcome of the training period is a "Product Carbon Footprint tool" per individual finished product. It is an extensive project with needs collection, functional and technical design, implementation and follow up.

Missions:
1/ Structure data

The Sustainability team has to work with a broad panel of data with different sources and granularity : external providers (databases, certification bodies, suppliers, customers request) and internal providers (factories, Procurement team, technical data ).

Kind of data used :
Emission Factors, Yields, Bills of Materials, Utilities consumptions, Water usage.

As a junior BI project manager, you will be responsible for the drafting of technical and functional specifications, development of the solution and testing.

You will be fully integrated to the BI team and you will be supported by the BI and IT experts.

Your role is to analyze the different data sets and propose the best architecture to gather it / store it / make it easily accessible for Carbon calculation.

The solution should be easy to use (user friendly interfaces) and to maintain & update (sustainable technical process).
The solution could retrieve data from others systems : interfaces to build.

2/ Build a PCF tool

A couple of tools exist in the Symrise group to make such calculation but they are not adequate for Food & Beverages products and processes.

Your role is to work in collaboration with the Sustainability to understand our manufacturing processes and design a solution to industrialize calculations The solution proposed should be based on the database mentioned in 1/
The solution should be inspired by already existing tool : an audit of the "EcoMatrix" used in PetFood should be run
The solution should be easy to use (user friendly interfaces) and to maintain & update (sustainable technical process).

Your profile
You are studying in a Master's degree in Information Systems or in
Computer Methods Applied to Business Management.

Technical skills required:

Advanced competence with Microsoft SQL Server.
Data vizualisation software knowledge, at least one of the following : Microstrategy / Power BI / Tableau / Qlick View.
English advanced, you will animate international workshops in English.
