Job responsibilities:


  • Develop, validate and optimize biomarker quantification methods by using analytical techniques.
  • Process, analyze and interpret biomarker quantification data.
  • Assist in improving laboratory activity processes (method development, validation and sample analysis).
  • Write and review biomarker quantification method Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review scientific literature in order to guide the development of biomarker quantification methods.
  • Document activities related to the development and validation of biomarker quantification methods.
  • May be called upon to assist with the training of employees related to research and development and validation.
  • Assist in competitive intelligence by developing and testing new analytical instruments.
  • Coordinate the resources used during the development and validation of biomarker quantification methods.
  • Carry out support tasks to meet the needs of laboratory users.
  • May be called upon to perform all biological sample processing and analysis activities.
  • May be called upon to supervise the work of associate research scientist.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in sciences in biology/analysis domain or equivalent
  • Proven experience in Immuno Assay development
- previous experience in CRO (not necessarily in Bioanalysis) would be considered an asset
- knowledge of WATSON LIMS would be considered an asset

  • Knowledge of nucleic acid analysis (NGS, qPCR) would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of flow cytometry would be a plus
  • 2 or 4 years of relevant work experience in large molecules/ ELISA /ECL would be considered an asset.
  • Advisable experience in regulatory context.
  • Must demonstrate good computer skills especially in the utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and analytical software.
  • Good communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.
