Our Parisian branch is looking for a Credit Analyst to join our GCIB Department for a
Vice President position within the Credit Analysis Division.


Mission
Credit analysis of large corporates and analysis of credit requests in support of Coverage.


Responsibilities


Each analyst (the CAD Paris team comprises four credit analysts, headed by a Director) follows a portfolio of corporate clients and covers various sectors of activity.

The Paris branch follows about 60 groups (CAC 40 and SBF 120). The portfolio to be entrusted includes companies mainly from the
Automotive and Aviation sectors.

Credit requests and Annual credit reviews:

  • Financial analysis: review of the consolidated accounts of large corporates (target clients: top 200 French groups)
  • Credit analysis to focus on independently reaching conclusions from detailed due diligence (including company's strategy, market position, financial performance and forecasts, etc.), structural enhancements and exposure actions
  • Annual Credit Review of parent companies and their subsidiaries, with a specific focus on ESG, and proposal of final internal rating based on Bank methodology
  • Active monitoring of the evolution of industrial sectors and companies (press releases, results presentations, rating agencies reports, etc.), with major credit events raised to internal credit committees for discussion
  • Ad hoc studies at the request of the Branch Management (Paris) or the Credit Risk Department (London), discussions around sector trends and outlook with credit analysts based in London
  • Leading client meetings/Due Diligence calls that are creditfocused, including ownership of Q & A that leads to a strong understanding of the client and the proposal
  • Working towards being a line manager, responsible for Associates and Analysts, review of noncomplex work and be a part of their development
  • Active involvement in identification of prospect clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers
  • Regular collaboration with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Department (London) and Product teams on own portfolio.

PROFILE

Education:


  • Bac + 5 (Business school, Master 2 specialized in Banking and Finance, )
  • Linguistics : Fluent French & English required working languages
  • Computer skills : Total autonomy in the use of office automation tools (Word, Excel, Power Point,...)

Experience:

Ideally 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar Credit analyst position, within the banking industry:

  • Strong experience in financial analysis of large groups (yearly revenues higher than €1bn) based on corporate and consolidated accounts
  • Good accounting knowledge (especially IFRS norms)
  • Familiarity with credit files involving very large exposures
  • Ability to run transactions endtoend (including complex deals particularly in the BB/B rating space)
  • Good knowledge of Automotive and/or Aviation sectors
  • Knowledge of different types of financing
  • Ability to write and present his/her work in English, in a succinct way.
