Overview


The Institutional Client Group (ICG) for Debt manages the Bank's relationships with institutional investors across the full Debt product spectrum.

ICG Debt combines the global capabilities of Deutsche Bank with regional expertise on five continents.


With leading market shares in nearly every product and region, the success relies on factors such as anticipating the impact of market and regulatory changes to clients' business, developing the latest eCommerce and Clearing platforms, and leveraging the Bank's product, research and structuring expertise to offer tailor-made solutions which are customized to meet the specific requirements of each individual client.


The Rates salesperson is in charge of proposing solutions for his or her products and within the Rates Flow team, to help clients achieve their objectives.

They work closely with the trading and structuring teams.

Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Actively covering French clients and generating trade ideas and transactions, developing longterm relationships with direct counterparties, portfolio managers, analysts and economists as well as working closely with the Bank's Trading and Structuring teams.
  • Client strategies range from simple market buying to complex derivative transactions but all require the salesperson to not only have an advanced understanding of the products in order to propose the best deal, but also to have a clear view of the market direction and its impact in order to adopt an appropriate sales approach.
  • Develop the Rates France franchise by leveraging the local network and the Sales, Trading and Structuring teams.
  • Navigate complex organizations to identify business opportunities, develop and maintain strong relationships and demonstrate a significant client base.

Your Skills and Experience:


Hard skills:


  • Knowledge of the regulatory environments applicable to both the Bank and the Clients
  • Indepth legal knowledge of derivatives contracts (ISDA, FBF,...)
  • Experience in the sale of financial products and the implementation of solutions to meet specific client needs
  • Proven experience with institutional clients
  • Entrepreneurial skills to prioritize resources and maximize results and client value

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work in complex organizations
