    Description

    In our Engineering and O&M department and the technical support team, you will be responsible for wind resources and performance assessment (solar and wind assets), you will closely collaborate with the teams involved in different projects in Europe. The position shall be based in Paris (France).

    Mains responsabilities :


    • Verify and analyse wind farm performance data from SCADA which have substantial impact on operational compliance (tracking of underperformance)


    • Produce operational performance reports and resource analysis reports


    • Monitor, review and present wind farm performance data to identify key technical risks (availability, downtime, like temperature and fault analysis for example) to support decision making
    • Participate in asset optimisation via data analysis and specific intervention (yaw alignment, wake, ice detection, icing losses assessment, lightning monitoring, evaluation and monitoring of de-icing system accuracy)


    • Interface with asset managers, supervisors or third party to provide technical assistance related to performance issues and perform associated mitigation actions.


    • Develop and implement analytical tools and systems to produce effective analysis and reporting of operational site performance (development and improvement of wind and performance KPIs)


    • Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and work instructions with the support of the team leader


    • Carry out technical cost /benefit analysis for the implementation of OEM retrofit or upgrade


    • Capability to perform EYA and PCYA and to analyse related reports provided by external parties


    • Perform calculation of the production budget of all CGNEE assets


    • Participate to technical due diligence with collaboration with the business development team, participate to meetings with external technical advisors


    • Provide support to the business development team for the repowering projects (wind resources analysis, technical opinion during the site assessment)


    • Identify and participate to R&D international projects in the context of the research and innovation strategy managed by the technical support team leader, ability to manage projects and collaboration with other owners/operators in his scope of expertise


    • Travel within Europe when required.

    Profile :


    • Qualification in engineering, physics, or mathematics (Master, engineering school, PhD)


    • At least three years' related experience in the wind industry


    • Working knowledge of wind turbine performance, IEC performance standard and IEA practices


    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills


    • Knowledge of wind turbine SCADA, EMD WindPro, WASP, conversant with database request and programming (Python, API, MATLAB, SQL...)


    • Motivated, team spirit, dynamic and honest, you are recognised for your care and diligence, in particular regarding wind turbine health status


    • Previous experience within the renewable energy industry (operator, developer, consultancy...)


    • Fluent in English and French
