Responsible Sourcing Manager - Your future position?

Givaudan recently launched its updated and strengthened responsible sourcing program, Sourcing4Good.

As a Responsible Sourcing Manager, you willhelp drive the program through our end-to-end supply chain by working with the RS team to drive the implementation of our responsible sourcing projects following Givaudan's corporate strategy and targets.

Your work includes sustainability improvements across the Naturals, Synthetics, and Indirect Materials andServices (IM&S) supply chains and you will ensure your focus is on bringing value to our teams, suppliers, communities, and customers.


You will report to our Head of Global Responsible Sourcing, you will need to travel, around 20% of the time.

Ashford (United Kingdom), Argenteuil (France), Avignon (France), Dortmund (Germany), Kemptthal (Switzerland), Naarden (Netherlands),Vernier (Switzerland)

In this exciting role your main responsibilities will be the following:


Implementation:

Determine yearly action plans with essential milestones for your portfolio.

Work with your teammates to implement a new operating model with Procurement, by guiding and supporting procurement category managers inthe integration of critical elements of the Sourcing4Good program into their daily work.

Drive and accelerate progress on your portfolio of the program, and will support and cover for teammates when necessary.
Work with suppliers and external partners to identify gaps against the Givaudan Responsible Sourcing Policy throughout supply chains in each spendingcategory
Identify necessary improvements, agree and accomplish action plans, and monitor progress:
Drive the gathering and accumulation of materials attribute data to meet our customers' increasing demands for supply chain information.


Business Partnering:

Promote the responsible sourcing program with all relevant partners.
Develop and deliver regular training to category managers and suppliers.
Present regular progress reports to our category manager workforce and Procurement and Business leadership teams.
Ensure a constant dialogue is maintained with your partners such as Procurement, Sustainability, Corporate Communications and Commercial teams.
Provide relevant content for customer presentations and individual requests, and attend customer meetings.


Supplier Engagement:
You will travel for certain raw material supply chains to foster collaboration and accelerate progress.


Communications:

Be an ambassador for Sourcing4Good both inside and outside the business, and for Givaudan's Purpose and Sustainability goals.
Build advocacy for Sourcing4Good throughout the business.
Use our communications platforms to bring visibility to Givaudan's sustainability and responsible sourcing activities.


Your successful profile includes:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or Sustainability or a related field
Minimum 5 years' experience in responsible or sustainable sourcing or sustainability topics and sustainability standards
Experience in an international environment within a matrix organization
Experience in creating valuable improvements throughout supply chains in a direct and indirect supplier setting, including up to farm level
Experience in sustainable sourcing of commodities, such as Palm products and RSPO certification
Fluent in written and verbal English, any other language would be appreciated
Knowledge in local field-project staff, local communities, government agencies, the not-for-profit sector and the scientific community
Solid project management experience with a structured and process-driven approach, and the ability to record, measure and document progress
Ability to build teams and navigate with autonomy.
Ability to transform data into useful information and a convincing presentation
Passion for learning and sharing expertise on sustainability topics
Open-minded and creative in finding innovative, effective solutions
Experienced in budget management
