    Position Summary

    Our Professional Services team is currently looking for a dynamic, talented, and motivated DITA Specialist in our expanding organization. Our Professional Services team provides ongoing solution implementations, solution upgrades, technical support and extended consulting to a growing global customer base. Our customers are typically Forbes Global 2000 organizations and industry leaders, operating mainly in the software, hardware, medical device and manufacturing industries. Every day, IXIASOFT CCMS is accessed by thousands of users located all over the world.

    This position is remote and the applicant should be located in Europe.

    DITA Specialist – Solution Consulting

    Are you an expert in the practical application of DITA to real-world technical documentation challenges? Do you understand the struggles of technical writers in adopting DITA and how to help them adapt to get the promised value? Can you work with large organizations across multiple industries? If you have answered yes to these questions, join our team of professionals and help us share your knowledge with our customers

    As part of the Professional Services team, the DITA Specialist will be responsible for the following:

    Solution Implementation & Consulting : provide solution-based consulting and product expertise to customers of our flagship product – IXIASOFT CCMS. Typical activities include:

    • Provide expertise and guidance to customers during solution implementation, including configuration management and system testing
    • Conduct product training for technical users on how to use the IXIASOFT CCMS
    • Assist existing customers in onboarding new teams and solution upgrades
    • Provide guidance for customers' DITA Information Architecture
    • DITA consulting (training, best practices, etc.)
    • Content migration consulting
    • Localization process optimization and consulting
    • Interact with customers to understand and analyze their requirements, and provide configuration options that answer these requirements
    • Other duties as assigned

    Sales Support : as a product specialist, you may be asked occasionally to participate in sales activities for certain customer engagements.

    Profile

    You are dynamic, enjoy teamwork, and display initiative. You have strong organization and customer service skills, and show attention to detail. You have experience in working remotely with international colleagues and in a customer-facing capacity.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Deep expertise in DITA and how to apply it to accomplish technical documentation goals;
    • Strong experience in technical documentation, ideally in several industries;
    • DITA information modeling & content analysis skills;
    • Experience with other Component Content Management Systems;
    • Ability to understand and analyze customer requirements and propose approaches that line up with the IXIASOFT CCMS;
    • Experience in DITA or CCMS implementation projects;
    • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions to the challenges they face;
    • Good understanding of publishing pipelines for technical content;
    • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
    • A passion for the highest level of customer satisfaction;
    • Ability to manage multiple issues and stay organized;
    • Strong troubleshooting skills;
    • An orientation to customer service and a deep desire for customers' success.

    Nice to have

    • Experienced in deploying Enterprise solutions;
    • Experience with DITA Open Toolkit;
    • Understanding of software development cycle, product integrations and hosting technologies;
