The I2BC is located on the campus of Paris-Saclay University (20 km southbound from Paris, France).

It is a Joint Research Unit supervised by Paris-Saclay University, CNRS and CEA, which are world leading research and academic institutions.

The main research theme of I2BC is the characterization of the integrated functioning of the cell and in particular the understanding of the molecular processes that govern the organization and the overall physiology of the cell and its interactions with the environment.

The ~60 I2BC teams benefit from state-of-the-art technological platforms offering high-level services in the fields of genomics, biophysics, structural biology, proteomics, imaging and integrative bioinformatics.

Within the Department of Biophysics, Biochemistry and Structural Biology of the I2BC, you will be developing a new research topic focusing on regulation of light absorption, electron transfer and CO2 capture, based on broad interdisciplinary approaches (molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics).

Your topic should aim to understand these fundamental processes at the molecular level, and/or the processes involved in regulating/optimizing them.

You will also be responsible for promoting the visibility of this I2BC theme, contributing to I2BC's scientific strategy, in particular in the "Bio-inspired engineering for energy, health and the environment" transverse axis of I2BC.
