Magellium (Artal Group), with its 300 employees, is an independent company, specialised in the value chain of remote sensing data (from the satellite or drone sensor to its use in earth observation systems and services, cartography and geo-intelligence) which promotes mastery of space technologies, software, signal processing and geomatics.

As part of its Earth Observation activities, Magellium is involved in major programs led by space or operational agencies.

These Earth observation projects implement scientific processing chains for the satellites' payload. These processing chains, either prototypes or operational chains, are developed as part of the ground segments of satellite missions.

The specificity of these processing activities lies in the multiple required capabilities in scientific or algorithmic techniques of remote sensing, engineering methods, software and IT, in a processing environment often constrained by robustness and performance.

The skills and experience developed in processing development activities for space ground segments are brought together within a specific section of about ten people within the Magellium Earth Observation (EO) unit.

The unit currently gathers 5 thematic sections: Geometry of sensors, Image Quality, Ground Segments, Physics and Applications, Climate.
