Description

We are looking on behalf of our client, Lacoste, for a footwear category manager. You will lead the strategy and development of Lacoste's footwear line. You will analyze trends, oversee collection structuring, and ensure that our product offerings align with market trends and consumer preferences.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy

1. Analyze market trends, competition, and target consumers.
2. Propose a structured collection that aligns with category objectives.

Collection Development

1. Define the footwear product offer, focusing on color, pricing, and volume forecasts.
2. Organize seasonal briefs for design and development teams.
3. Participate in design reviews and prototype evaluations.
4. Contribute to pricing strategies, maintaining alignment with market positioning.
5. Conduct regular competitive analysis and performance assessments.

Analysis & Reporting

1. Create analysis reports to support strategic decisions within the product team.

Support & Structuring

1. Manage information sharing with the Merchandising team to ensure a clear assortment strategy.
2. Prepare product collection decks and strategic narratives.

Samples & Data Management

1. Mentor a Junior Product Manager in tasks such as sample management and category implementation.
2. Oversee a Data Project Manager responsible for internal collection setups.
3. Collaborate on marketing-related projects, including catalogues and product visuals.
4. Support E-commerce initiatives and collaborate with Visual Merchandising teams.

SMU / QSP / Processes & Project Management

1. Validate and track briefs from markets and key accounts.
2. Oversee product design and development processes.
3. Work cross-functionally to align PLM, design, sales, and development efforts.
4. Coordinate footwear-related projects, including events and collaborations.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally while driving strategic objectives. Experience in category management within the footwear industry will be a significant advantage.
