Job description:


Overall job description:


As Safety Manager within the Test Department, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment that complies with established safety standards.

Your role will be essential in ensuring that electric battery testing operations are carried out safely and efficiently, while minimizing potential risks to employees, equipment and the environment.


Main missions:


  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures: You will need to develop policies and procedures specific to the test department to ensure compliance with current safety standards. This includes documenting clear safety protocols for each stage of electric battery testing.
  • Carrying out risk assessments: You will need to identify potential hazards associated with testing activities and carry out regular risk assessments to propose appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Training and awareness: Organize and deliver safety training for Test Department staff, to raise awareness of safe practices, proper use of safety equipment and emergency management.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance: Monitor changes in safety regulations in the electric battery industry and ensure that the company complies with all safety requirements.
  • Conduct internal safety audits: Carry out regular inspections of test facilities to identify deviations from safety standards and propose corrective measures.
  • Manage incidents and investigations: In the event of safetyrelated accidents or incidents, you will be responsible for carrying out indepth investigations to understand the root causes and implementing corrective action plans to avoid any recurrence.
  • Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with engineering, production and R&D teams to integrate safety practices from the design phase of electric batteries and ensure that best safety practices are followed in all areas.


As Safety Manager within the Test Department, you will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment, enabling the company to manufacture high-quality electric batteries that comply with the strictest safety standards.


Profile:


Experience:


  • A background in engineering, occupational health and safety or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in safety management, preferably in the industrial sector of battery or electrical equipment manufacturing, would be an asset.
  • Indepth knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations applicable to electric batteries.

Key behaviour:


  • Ability to communicate effectively and train personnel on safety practices.

  • Project management skills to implement effective safety initiatives.
  • Analytical skills to assess risks and propose appropriate solutions.
