_ Overall Objectives & Purpose of the role_:

You will be joining the site management department in preparation for the succession of the Technical Manager, whose duties and responsibilities you will ultimately assume, with the aim of a complete handover by the beginning of 2025. This document describes the Technical Manager's tasks, which you will take over as part of a transition plan._
The main objective of the Technical Manager is to maintain reliable infrastructures in good condition, in order to meet the company's objectives and in compliance with current regulations._
You will work on infrastructures hosting research and development activities in the field of biotechnology, including BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories, and associated installations for controlling ambient conditions in terms of temperature and pressure, and supplying gas and water utilities._

_ Main responsibilities & key tasks_:

Building and facility maintenance and safety:

Ensure that the Company's infrastructure equipment and buildings are kept in good operating condition and reliable, in compliance with current regulations and procedures, including those relating to safety (electrical, intrusion and fire hazards).
Manage the infrastructure equipment fleet and propose maintenance, improvement and works plans, as well as the associated budget.
Carry out maintenance and metrological checks on infrastructure equipment and on specific laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges, incubators and temperaturecontrolled equipment.
Formalize related procedures and reports.
Select service providers for outsourced operations and set up and monitor the necessary preventive and curative maintenance contracts.
Monitor technological and regulatory advances in the field of activity.
Perform oncall duties (nights, weekends and public holidays).

Management of utilities:

Provide utilities for lab activities (electricity, water, gas).
Set up and follow up orders and corresponding contracts to ensure appropriate supplies in terms of quality, costs and lead times.

Supervision:

Supervise the work of a maintenance technician.
Coordinate a duty technical team and act as referent.
Oversee contracted service providers for certain maintenance operations.

New projects:

Manage and/or participate in certain projects relating to investment in infrastructure equipment and new infrastructure.
Participate in crossfunctional projects related to infrastructure and laboratory equipment.

Experience & Qualifications:

Advanced degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics or electrical engineering
At least 7 years' experience in the industrial sector (biotechnologies, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agrifood, etc.)
Electrical authorization
