Client Background

For over 40 years, our client has been providing development solutions for the automotive and aerospace industry in Europe, China and the United States.

The group supports manufacturers and equipment suppliers in their development projects, from design to industrialisation in the automotive sector.

It also offers job opportunities across the entire value chain, from development to vehicle industrialisation: Bodywork/Design, Interior and Exterior Equipment, Engines and Electricity/Electronics, as well as project and quality management, logistics / industrialisation and validation.

They are currently looking for a Cooling Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities
You will manage thermal calculations to ensure system sizing and produce their summary files.

You will define the validation plan.
You will draw up the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
You contribute to the preparation of documents by drafting requirements.
You will manage the Systems Design Review (SDR).
You will summarise progress towards project milestones.
You will manage the validation of the system's EE components.
You will draft the operating file and the safety risk management file.
You will prepare, carry out and analyse water circuit characterisation loop tests (BCCO).
You will manage wind tunnel tests on vehicles and analyse the results with the associated action plans in the event of a problem.
You will be responsible for conducting Drain Fill Drain (DFD) tests and analysing the results, together with the associated action plans.

Requirements:

You have 3 to 5 years' higher education in mechanical engineering. You will have at least 2 years' experience in systems engineering and thermal systems, preferably in the automotive sector in the field of engine cooling.
You have a good command of AMESIM software and are familiar with the environment and tools used by international car manufacturers.
You have a good level of English and are able to read, analyse and write technical documents in this language.
Knowledge of Agile methods will facilitate your integration into our projects.
Your ability to analyse, summarise and organise will be an asset. Good interpersonal skills will be essential if you are to succeed in your management role.
This position will enable you to acquire project management skills and to develop within a multidisciplinary team.
