  • With consumers, employees, and other stakeholders demanding that companies stand for clear values and give back to society, we're pioneering Sephora's first global purpose efforts. The Global Director of Social Impact will report to the the Global Chief Purpose Officer to develop initiatives that promote Sephora's vision of expanding the way the world sees beauty._

_ You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions:_

  • Strategy & Planning_
- _ Drives Sephora's global social impact agenda to capitalize on Sephora's business strengths while empowering our communities worldwide_
- _ Develops a strategic framework for our CSR priorities and evaluates new social impact opportunities through the lens of our brand strengths and stakeholder needs_
- _ Sets long term and in-year ambitions for our impact_

  • Program Development & Innovation_
- _ Builds a CSR innovation practice, generating new ideas that can further Sephora's impact, creating the case for change, and initiating pilots where appropriate_
- _ Translates key ideas and opportunities into executable plans and initiatives. Works broadly across markets and functions to support our programs_
- _ Develops partnerships with global NGOs and thought leaders aligned with Sephora's values and priorities_
- _ Captains signature global CSR programs, starting with "Classes for Confidence" and supporting regional teams in its deployment worldwide_

  • Employee Engagement and Global Coordination_
- _ Leads Sephora's "Red Heart" task force, comprised of our top regional CSR and D&I experts, driving a coordinated set of global social impact efforts. Ensures a strong connection between central and regional teams._
- _ Teaches and inspires teams to create new ways to deliver on Sephora's Purpose_
- _ Drives volunteerism and engagement, finding ways for Sephora employees to become involved in our Purpose. Animates key moments of giving back to our communities. Encourages learning on the diversity of our communities and showcases the ways that Sephora supports the empowerment of all_

  • Governance and Communication_
- _ Proposes proctive recommendations on policies and responses to world events that speak to our core values_
- _ Partners with HR & Communications teams to define public claims, commitments, and external reporting strategies on our CSR impact_
- _ Sets global selection criteria and accountability measures for our charitable efforts_
- _ Creates the measures and tools to optimize our results. Shares results with leadership on a regular basis._

  • Has a keen sense of social commitment while being capable of assessing if a proposal delivers against Sephora's strategic goals_

- _ 10+ years leadership experience at a consumer-facing brand, ideally in CSR, corporate philanthropy, innovation, or cause marketing_
- _ Successful track record as a change agent and program manager - captaining a new business, pilot program, or strategic plan with significant cross functional stakeholder management_
- _ Effective working directly with C-suite leaders to build business plans and achieve strategic goals_
- _ Experience working in global settings cutting across multiple business and consumer cultures_
- _ Meaningful experience working with non-profits or public/private collaborations (board service, advisory, partnership development), government affairs experience is a plus_
- _ Demonstrable passion for social equity, justice, women's empowerment, and strong _understanding of social issues worldwide_
