The Development Director is responsible of sourcing, negotiating and finalizing all the development projects for Accor, for all brands, all types of contracts, all types of projects, new building / transformation of existing hotels or offices, individual or combined projects.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Establish close relationships with key clients in order to understand their projects, commercial objectives and branding requirements
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current market conditions, competitive landscape and prospective partner/investor/client opportunities
  • Support regional development management teams and development personnel throughout the dealmaking process through the evaluation of new opportunities, development of pitches, negotiating of contracts and generally removing hurdles which need to be overcome in order to achieve objectives
  • Identify main hotel projects and stakeholders
  • Represent the company during local and international seminars, exhibitions, or events
  • Support any negotiation of prime projects, lead locally any Luxury projects
  • Develop close and regular relations with other departments in order to reflect needs and constraints in the agreements, develop up to date arguments for selling the company brands and its services
  • Validate reports monthly for rollup into global reporting

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATION / COMPETENCIES:

  • Recognized communication skills with all levels of team members
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build, coach and develop high performing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and generate confidence, trust and respect
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition and a high level of energy
  • Multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and perspectives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Degree in Business, Hotel, Finance, Real Estate or similar degree
  • Knowledge of hotel accounting, hotel management, financial modelling, residential development, branded residential management, hotel brands and ability to understand legal documents experience in brand management and communications is a distinctive advantage

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • A significant experience in Hospitality
  • Strong knowledge /experience in market analysis & feasibility studies
